Lasagna Roll Ups

what do you do when its time for dinner and you didn't have anything planned and you have NO food!? Well the other night that was my position, we don't go out to dinner very often, it's just too expensive! The only things that I could find is a box of lasagna noodles with just 7 noodles, spaghetti sauce, a little bit of mozzarella cheese, and some pepperoni. I decided to test this recipe out, that I made up.

Ingredients:
Lasagna noodles, cooked
Spaghetti Sauce
Mozzarella cheese
Meat of choice, pepperoni, beef, sausage, etc.

Directions:
1. Take a cooked noodle and put a thin layer of spaghetti sauce on one side
2. Sprinkle with your meat ( I did pepperoni)
3. Sprinkle with cheese.
4. Roll up the lasagna and put in a pan with hot oil
5. Sear all the edges, just too give it the crunch
6. When all the sides are seared put them in a glass pan
7. Pour some spaghetti sauce on top, as much as you would like.
8. Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese on top.
9. Place in the oven at 400 degrees and bake until the sauce is bubbling and the cheese is melted
10. ENJOY!

Not just a cooking house wife

One thing that I didn't talk about when I introduce myself is about how much I love to scrapbook. My mom works at a scrapbooking/camera store and my sister and I LOVE scrapbooking with my mom and her customers. For Christmas this year my parents got me a desk organizer that you build and decorate. So yesterday I went to the local scrapbook store and bought some cute paper and just finished the organizer today.

Cinnamon Roll Oatmeal Cookies

Yesterday when I was putting away groceries I realized that we had 5 boxes of Instant Oatmeal in all different sort of flavors. So I decided to look up a recipe on how to use all this Oatmeal and found a cookie recipe that you can use for any different instant Oatmeal. Because mine were Cinnamon Roll, I added a little bit of frosting to give it a different flavor. Here is the Recipe and also some pictures.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
6 packs of instant oatmeal of your choice
(any other added ingredients such as raisins, cranberries, chocolate chips, etc)

1. Melt butter in microwave.
2. Let butter cool for 1 minute
3. Add egg, vanilla, and milk; mix well
4. Add sugar and brown sugar; mix
5. In a separate bowl mix flour, baking powder, and baking soda
6. Add flour mixture to liquid mixture; fold (don't mix too much)
7. Add in oatmeal and any other ingredients if you wish
8. Drop spoonfuls of dough on a greased cookie sheet
9. Bake for 10 minutes @ 350 degrees
10. Let cool and ENJOY!!

Who I Am...

Hello,

My name is Hannah and I have decided to start this blog to help new house wives with different recipes so your family isn't eating the same things every night. I am originally from Elgin, IL (superb of Chicago) and I now live in Grand Rapids, MI with my fiance, David, and my dog, Isabelle. We will be getting married in September and I CANNOT WAIT!! I currently am unemployed and job hunting 24/7. Dave is a service advisor at a shop not far from our house and he loves his job. Isabelle doesn't really do anything but sleep and be a big monster. I just graduated from Ferris State University this past December with an Assoc. in Restaurant Management. I love love love to cook and try new things. I am such a picky eater, I grew up with my mom feeding my sister and I and she didn't eat much, therefore we don't eat alot of food. I don't really like vegetables (yuck) but I do LOVE pasta and bread. I'm going to try and try new things.. so wish me luck!
